Facials Q & A

What are facials?

Facials are skin rejuvenation treatments that use a variety of powerful substances to improve the appearance, health, and feel of your skin.

Although there is a very wide range of facials, what they all have in common is that they're applied topically. CareLife Style offers a full range of facials to address the most common skin concerns.

What types of skin concerns can facials treat?

Facials are very flexible treatments because they can address many concerns, such as:

  • Dry skin
  • Acne
  • Oily skin
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Large pores
  • Acne scars
  • Rough skin texture
  • Dull skin tone

Facials can be a pampering treatment for overall skin rejuvenation, as well.

What are chemical peels?

Chemical peels are a special type of facial that uses various types of acid solutions on your skin. Peels trigger exfoliation — the shedding of old layers of dead skin. The exact level of exfoliation depends on the type of chemical peel.

The different levels of peels include:

Superficial peels

Superficial peels use the mildest acid solutions, such as alpha-hydroxy acids, to lightly slough the top layer of dead skin away.

Medium peels

Medium peels use either trichloroacetic acid or glycolic acid to penetrate both your topmost skin layer and the layer beneath it for a deeper exfoliation.

Deep peels

Deep peels are major chemical peels that usually use phenol or other highly powerful acids to remove multiple layers of skin.

CareLife Style can discuss your treatment goals with you to help you determine the right type and level of chemical peel.

How often should I have facials?

The frequency of your facials depends on what your needs are and the type of treatment you receive. CareLife Style is confident that you'll love the skin you're in after a facial, so it personalizes a plan to help you maintain glowing skin.

Many people maintain beautiful, healthy skin with monthly or bi-monthly facials along with medical-grade skin care products. Facials can also support the results of noninvasive procedures like laser treatments, microneedling, Botox®, and fillers.
